SOLD OUT BC vs. Syracuse Men's Basketball game on January 11th! 

EVENTS:
We will have 4 Events: Shooting Around the World, Dribble Obstacle Course, Speed Layups, and Defensive Agility. Players will be able to compete in at least 2 of them (and more if time permits). See the Event Descriptions below for more information on each event (so you'll know which events to select as your 1st and 2nd).

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION:
The event will be held at The Fay School (23 Middle Rd, Southborough). The schedule for each group:
  - 4th Grade Boys: 8:30 - 10:00am
  - 3rd/4th Grade Girls: 9:30 - 11:00am
  - 3rd Grade Boys: 10:30am - 12:00pm

PRIZES:
The winner of each event will receive a Blazers prize on the day of the event, and will also receive 2 tickets with our group to the SOLD OUT Boston College Men's Basketball game on January 11th vs. ACC rival Syracuse. The group will receive a private backstage tour of Boston College's new Hoag Pavilion, a state of the art 40,000 square foot basketball facility.

Once we receive your registration, we will send out a confirmation with logistical details within a few days of the event!

 

EVENT DESCRIPTIONS:
Shooting Around The World:
- This event is for players that are recognized by coaches in their grade as having one of the best shots (a Top 10 shooter) in the grade
- Players will try to make as many outside/perimeter shots "Around the World" as they can in 60 seconds (distances will be age appropriate)
- The player with the most makes wins the event!

Dribbling Obstacle Course:
- This event is for players that are recognized by coaches in their grade as having one of the best (top 10) "handles" in their grade, and can dribble under control at a very fast speed
- Players will take on an obstacle course that will test their ability to dribble at speed with both hands, while challenging them to change directions quickly
- The player who completes the course in the fastest time wins the event!

Speed Layups:
- This event is for players that are recognized by coaches in their grade as being one of the best at combining speed, coordination, and finishing ability at the rim
- Players will have 60 seconds to make as many layups as possible, starting each with a drive from roughly half court. Players that can make layups from each side with the correct form will receive bonus credit.
- The Player with the most points in 60 seconds wins the event!

Defensive Agility:
- This event is for players that are recognized by coaches in their grade as being one of the best defenders/athletes (top 10) in their grade, combining the raw speed and agility needed to be an excellent defender
- Players will move through a course (without a basketball) that will challenge their athleticism and defensive movements as it will require speed, the ability to slide quickly/correctly, and the ability to quickly accelerate/decelerate/shift directions, etc.
- The player who completes the course in the fastest time wins the event!
